Big Ed James news… A print deal???

Just wanted to drop some news I’ve been sitting on for the last few months. I’ve signed a traditional publishing deal with Atlantic Books’ Corvus imprint to publish new editions of the first four Rob Marshall books, starting in February.

The whole point in this is illustrated by some data. The print sales for the first Marshall book are currently 3% of the total. I can’t get into bookshops, but Corvus can. I’m so excited to be working with a proven publisher who have a great track record and a whole load of innovative ideas about how to get these books to new readers in new locations.

I want to thank my editor Steph Carey and the team at Corvus/Atlantic for their belief and hard work in bringing these to market. Also, a huge thanks to Holly Battle for these new covers – I can’t stop looking at them. Honestly, they’re just so bloody good.

What does this mean?

For ebook and audiobook readers, nothing changes – watch out for new covers to match these print designs.

For print readers, the existing print editions for the first four have been unlisted. The relevant pages on Grey Dog Books (my Shopify store) will direct you to the new pages on Amazon or Waterstones, though the books will be available in all good bookshops, which will be released in February, May, August and November 2027. The interiors of these books are the same, so you’re not missing on any new or edited material.

Anyway! If you want to preorder the books, have a look here:

Hope that all makes sense, but email me if you have anything you want to ask about it – or anything else.

Cheers,
Ed
